Photographers here post their rates openly, so the honest move is not to invent a package to sit beside theirs, but to lay the island's own figures out in daylight and say which side of the line they sit on. Everything below is the market as it actually stands, gathered from public price lists in July 2026. What this house adds is a single commitment at the end of it.
Mini session
market €200–250 · about 30 minutes
One spot in one village, fifteen to sixty edited images, timed for sunset or shot in daylight. This is the shortest session most photographers on the island will sell, and at half an hour it behaves like one: a single terrace, a single outfit, and no time to move anywhere else.
One-hour session
market €200–400 · 1 hour
A walking session through one village, almost always Oia, delivering thirty to seventy edited images. The bottom of the range is the photographer alone; the top is a quote that folds in a flying-dress rental and an assistant to wrangle it. Same hour, very different receipt.
Two-hour session
market €250–600 · 2 hours
One to two locations and forty to a hundred edited images. The pattern from the tier below repeats: photography alone sits low in the band, while quotes bundling a dress and dressing assistance climb toward the top. Two hours is the shortest session that comfortably survives a wardrobe change.
Half-day photo tour
market €350–750 · 3 to 5 hours
Three to four locations across the island with a car and driver, and fifty to a hundred and fifty edited images or more. Sold as a photography tour rather than a single-spot session, which is the accurate way to describe several hours on Santorini's roads between villages.

What moves a session from €200 to €600?
Three levers, and the market pulls them in a consistent order. The first is duration, which is really a location budget: every extra hour is another village, another outfit, another kind of light. The second is the flying dress. Across the published quotes we gathered, the dress and its dressing assistant are what stretch the one- and two-hour tiers toward their upper edges — the same session without the dress typically lands 150 to 250 euro lower, and one island rate card lists the rental on its own at 150 euro when it is quoted separately from the photography. If the dress is the reason you are booking, the tradition has its own page, wind included. The third lever is the second location, which above two hours usually arrives with a car and driver attached and turns a session into a tour.
Two add-ons appear in the published lists often enough to note, each from a single rate card rather than a consensus: a videographer joining the photo session at 300 euro, and rush delivery of the edited set inside 48 hours at 150 to 200 euro. Worth knowing before either appears on a quote as though it were standard. And one absence worth naming: no photographer we surveyed publishes a sunrise premium, so if you are quoted one, ask what it covers. The commitment we add: a figure in writing, for your date
This house has published prices where the owner has set them — our proposal packages start from €950, and that figure is printed rather than whispered. Engagement sessions are different: the owner has not priced them as a fixed menu, and we will not dress an invented number up as one. What we do instead is simple: send an enquiry with the date, the hour you want, whether a dress is involved and how many stops you can face, and a real figure comes back in writing — itemised, dated, and holdable.
The bands above are on this page precisely so you can judge that figure. If our written quote for a one-hour session lands somewhere the market band for a one-hour session does not reach, you are entitled to ask why, and we are obliged to have an answer that survives the question. That is the entire device: publish the going rate, then stand next to it.
Pairing a session with the proposal week
Most couples who write to us about a session are not booking it alone — it is the second shoot of the trip, scheduled for a day or two after a proposal, once the ring exists and the nerves have gone wherever nerves go. That sequencing is deliberate. The proposal evening is engineered around one minute of light and one unrepeatable reaction; asking it to also produce a full portrait session overloads it. A separate session, early enough in the trip that weather can shuffle it, gets the relaxed images the proposal evening cannot.

The questions a session quote should answer
What does an engagement session tier actually contain?
Three things, and it helps to keep them separate: duration, looks and locations. Duration is the headline — thirty minutes, an hour, two hours, a half day — and it quietly caps the other two. A mini session is one spot and one outfit because half an hour allows nothing else. An hour buys a walk through one village. Two hours is the first tier where a wardrobe change and a second location both fit without rushing, and the half-day tours reach three or four locations because a car and driver are doing the moving. Image counts scale the same way, from fifteen at the bottom of the mini tier to a hundred and fifty or more on a tour.
Can we combine a session with a proposal package on the same trip?
Yes, and it is the pairing we most often build. The proposal is one evening, engineered around a single unrepeatable minute; the session is a separate outing on another day, once the ring is on and nobody is acting. Keeping them apart is the point — a session bolted onto the proposal evening forces her to perform surprise twice, and the light budget of golden hour will not stretch across both. Our proposal packages publish their own starting prices, from 950 euro, and when you enquire we will quote the session alongside in the same written note, so the two costs sit side by side.
What deposit is reasonable for a session, and what should be in writing?
A deposit that reserves the slot with the balance settled around the shoot day is normal island practice; a request for the full amount months out, to an account with no contract behind it, is not. More important than the split is the paper. Before you pay anything, the quote should state the date and start time, the duration, the number of locations, the minimum count of edited images, the delivery window, and what happens to your money if weather forces a move. Any photographer confident in their own terms will put all six in one message without being chased. If a figure arrives bare, ask for the sentence around it.
How easily can a session slide to another day or a sunrise slot?
Very easily, and that freedom is the quiet luxury of a session over a proposal. A shoot has no audience and no secret to protect, so moving it a day — or from sunset to the following sunrise — costs nothing but a calendar edit, and most photographers here treat that as standard rather than as a favor. A proposal rarely has the same room: the restaurant is booked, the story that got her to the terrace has a shelf life, and some itineraries hold no spare evening at all. It is one more argument for keeping the two apart, and for placing the session early in the trip so a poor forecast has somewhere to go.
Why does this page print market bands instead of your own prices?
