A film of the moment, sound included

A proposal videographer keeps the one thing photographs cannot: the sound of the question and the answer. On Santorini that means discreet audio capture planned in advance, drone coverage only where rules allow — open water and open coast, never over crowds — and a teaser delivered within days.

A proposal film is, at its core, an audio recording with beautiful pictures attached.

Years later the photographs will hold the light and the setting perfectly — but the exact words, the crack in a voice, the answer arriving through tears: only film keeps those, and only when someone planned the capture before the moment happened.

That is this page's craft, along with an honest map of where the flying camera may and may not go.

Where film earns its place most

On the water, unequivocally: a charter is the one setting where the drone flies with full legitimacy, and the aerial of a single hull against the caldera cliffs is the genre's signature image — the whole sea-borne plan lives on the yacht page. Terraces and villas come second, where controlled space lets the filmmaker work close without hiding. Public-rail evenings are the honest third: superb for ground sequences, no-fly for the drone, and still completely worth filming for the audio alone.

Watch how moving and still coverage complement each other in the gallery, and read the photographer page for the half of the craft that stays hidden. Film is an add-on inside any package — priced in bands upfront, quoted exactly once your setting is chosen.

Film questions, in focus

Where can a drone legally and sensibly fly here?

Over open water and open coastline, splendidly. Not over gathered people, not in the airport's control zones on the island's east side, and not hovering above village rooftops at golden hour, where it is both intrusive and unwelcome. This is why drone segments shine on boat and beach plans and play a smaller role on rim-village evenings — we design coverage around the rules, not against them.

How do you record the question without wiring anyone up?

Placement and preparation. A wind-protected recorder concealed near the mark, a directional microphone from the cover position, or — on terraces and boats — audio gear staged as part of the scenery. Wiring the proposer with a hidden lav happens only when the proposer requests it. The goal is a clean capture of two sentences and whatever laughter or tears follow them.

What is the difference between the teaser and the full film?

The teaser is 60 to 90 seconds, delivered within days, built to be sent to family and replayed on phones forever. The full film runs several minutes, arrives within a few weeks, and has room for the walk in, the wide island frames, the whole arc. Most couples share the teaser and keep the full film for themselves — the anniversary screening is a real tradition.

Should the photo and film team be the same people?

Adjacent but separate crafts. A photographer chases decisive frames; a filmmaker protects continuous sequences and sound — one person doing both compromises each. When you book both, the two coordinate positions before the evening so neither appears in the other's frames. It is a small choreography with a large effect on what you receive.
